Yes, and where the search was entered. When you want specific things in the response, there is a Google Advanced Search page and once you learn to use it you can up your google-fu significantly. Failing that, if you want to use the easiest search boxes (like the URL box in their browser) you can still use some of the advanced features using quotes to tell those bots what terms you really want in the response. Using Brave, only using its built-in ad filters. "Autozone brake pads" gave me Autozone brake pads on top...and for nearly 2/3rds of the top of the first page of results before it showed another company's website, which happens to be for a brand of brake pad that Autozone apparently sells. Then more Autozone results after that. Brave is built off of Google Chrome, but with some tweaks to keep all of those googly-googly ads at bay. Brave also works great with Google's other ad-laden monster, YouTube. -MG | |||
