Like the video of this late idiot shows, it's an all too common thing that some idiot trys to take off when pulled over and gets ventilated. Cops don't want to do this, just pull over, keep your hands on the wheel. Turn your damned car off too. Don't they teach kids anything these days?

We see it time and time again. Does it ever work out well?

I told my kids growing up. Do what the man with the badge says. If he is wrong, you can sort it out later. Arguing, fighting or fleeing will only end badly.

Not so sure he was trying to run them over but definitely not a smart thing to do when guns are upon you.

He was a bad man. Fantastic shooting by those deputies, not hitting the passenger!

That open door almost took the deputy down, saved by good footwork, balance & shot placement!

I see no problem with the shoot.

The driver demonstrated he was not going to comply with the officers requests and was going to use the vehicle to attempt to evade arrest.

The far cop had some really sparkly ammunition. Wish I knew what it was so I don't get any.

The story headline tells me a lot, referring to “weapon”.

Very biased reporting.

If the guy had backed up in the other direction, it would have been just as much of a threat to the officer on the passenger side and I would believe he would have been trying to flee. Backing up in the direction he did screams to me that he was looking to ram the officer that wound up shooting him and was trying to get both of them in two gear shifts. Attempting to flee via attempted murder. He wasn’t headed for the exit to the parking lot, he was headed for the officer. No sympathy for this week’s “Gone to Soon.”

WML activated by the holster on the draw. I’ve seen other shootings where the WML was strobing and had a green dot activated in a fast draw as well. Those 1k lumen lights look extra flashy in daylight firing through a bit of powder smoke.

Gosh, I hope you said that only because you're the family's advocate, and not because you're actually that stupid, Shyster.

Standard slant of the left run media. Everybody wants to be CNN.

He had a weapon at the scene. It was a car.

Slight thread drift, but this is a good example of how not OK it is.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, was too important to wait for an officer to write a speeding ticket so he drove off. They chased his ass down and hauled him off to jail. This occurred in a ritzy suburb of Dallas (i.e. the same city where a pastor/preacher/reverend can lose his job for making the congregation late for kick-off for the Cowboys game) two weeks before football season began in '99.

If the owner of the Dallas Cowboys can't get away with it in Dallas, what makes some nobody think they can get away with it?

Thanks. I was focused on the officer lower in the frame.
