Number 1:
I selected a product specifically because the webpage indicated it was made in a certain country. I get the product - nope, it's made in a different country than reflected on the webpage. At least it's not chicom so I'll keep it. But it's really annoying this bait and switch. And no way to report it except for returning it.

Number 2:
Since when does Prime send both email AND text to let you know a pkg was delivered. I've always received just email and it was good enough. I specifically declined text messages. I checked my profile and it still indicates that I don't want to receive text messages for delivery updates. So, why am I now suddenly receiving text messages?

Not enough to piss me off but a bit annoyed. WTF Prime?

I wish I could get email AND text notifications of deliveries from Amazon! I used to get texts, until I didn't anymore, and checking my account indicates that text notifications ARE enabled. Roll Eyes

Regarding your notification issue, it's VERY likely if your using the Amazon (spyware!) App on your phone, that they are pushing them automatically, either with, or w/o a specific setting to enable that 'feature'...I could be wrong, but probably not! Wink

For the record, I do NOT (absolutely refuse!) to use the Amazon Spyware App! My wife uses it, and the ramifications of it's use AND clear evidence of it's spyware functionality are obvious to me!

Third party seller.

They can put almost anything in the description, and the "ratings" can be fabricated or brushed.

You know the drill. Buyer bescrewed.

From the msg I got, seems like there is some driver discretion involved. Perhaps the setting is just and indication to the driver to send/not send a text. I dunno, just weird and annoying that preferences and settings are not honored.

Yup, I never buy from a third party - only Amazon US/Japan/UK/Germany. Third party only if it's a known company like some brick mortar I know with thousands of good seller feedback. I'm paranoid.

Part of it depends on if the driver is an employee or a contract worker...uniformed or plain clothes.

At my house, employees always deliver to the front door and take a picture before leaving...I'll get an email a few mins later that it's been delivered and the picture will be attached.

With Contract delivery folks it's more hit or miss. I've had packages left by the garage door...sometimes hidden from view behind a wall or even just in the driveway...and the notification will still say "Left at Front Door"

I’m tired of them delivering to the back of my home. I guess they can’t find the front door.
