These days people believe that news on TV and other sources are the truth and obey what is said.
What ever happened to plain facts!!!!!
Every network has its opinion and relays it to the public.
A very large % of the time it is bullshit.
I would love to hear some real honest news.
The sheep all follow and do not take the time or effort to research what is said.
So many times I hear, I heard it on TV and they don' dare lye!!!
Amen!!¡

Don't forget Hollywood movies.

Actually study objective history? Pfffft...I'll just watch a fictional movie about it.

News programming serves two primary purposes:

#1: producing revenue from sales of advertising, which requires holding a high audience rating.

#2: presenting the editorial positions of network ownership.

Truth and objective reporting of facts aren't even considerations.

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end

We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose

Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days

La la la la...

I'd say, "Every network has ONE opinion and relays it to the public."

(Off to look for that clip of 40-some news anchors evidently reading from the same script....)

Sure they lie but more importantly, it's what they don't report.

The news department used to be a public service and something that cost a network money. That all changed when they changed it to a revenue stream.
