There’s a thread, “jeopardy game”, in The Lounge that looks set to go on forever. Some folks seem to like it but I consider it to be clutter. Is there some way to make it disappear from my view of The Lounge?

Pretty sure that with the current forum software, the only way to ignore that thread (other than simply ignoring it) would be to “ignore” the OP of the thread.

You would then no longer see that thread show up when you hit the main area...but you will also no longer see ANY posts from the OP either.

I tried adding f2 to my “ignore” list, but the “jeopardy game” thread didn’t disappear. But perhaps I won’t get any additional posts in that thread, and it will sink to page 2 and beyond. Time will tell.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I find a thread that bores me or I find uninteresting, I just ignore it.

Use the software inside your head. And I'd hate to be the member who is the subject of this thread, should he read it.

I've actually tried this method, works great. I haven't even accidentally opened that thread.

Just because you haven't been able to answer one of the questions doesn't mean the thread should get nuked. Wink

1. Watch it like a hawk.
2. Post meaningful and insightful posts in enough other threads to push it to page 2.
3. Every time it gets bumped up by one of the other 80K members repeat steps 1 & 2.

or

Just ignore it.

Somehow I think posting this thread guaranteed the offending thread's continued survival.

And maybe that's the point? There is no such thing as bad PR type thing? IDK.

Either way, I liked Jeopardy the TV show but until this post, had never noticed or participated in that thread.

I believe Para just closed it, so all you gotta do as wait till it falls off the first page.

I can. Bob advised me that the “jeopardy game” thread has been locked. I can take that.
