Each time there's an update, which is usually once a month, critical links on my bookmarks are lost or transfers are sent to a blank page.

Can't these people leave well enough alone?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Go to Settings, Updates and set it so it doesn't automatically do the updates, that way only you can initiate the update, so just don't do them.

Of course if there's a serious flaw they are fixing you'd want it to update.

Don't seem to have that issue with Brave... Might want to try it... https://brave.com/

This! Switched to Brave several years back and it's definitely the best!

I had trouble with Foxfire taking a long time to load so I deleted it and re-downloaded a copy. Now it doesn't highlight the history where you been.

I have Brave so I may use it more.

I use Brave as my primary browser but keep Firefox handy with the Easy YouTube Downloader Express extension. Brave won't allow D/Ling YouTube videos. Roll Eyes

+1 for Brave. Brave also has a search engine. It's not perfect, but doesn't lean left like some others.

Hmm, I've been using Firefox for over 15 years and I don't have that problem. My machine updates once per month or so, but I've never lost a bookmark. <shrugs>

I mostly use Safari, the default MacBook browser. Occasionally I encounter a site that doesn’t play well with Safari. In that situation I use Firefox. But I find Firefox to be a bit awkward. Folks in this thread seem to like Brave so I’ll give it a try.
