This thread reminds me of about ten years ago I spent Christmas at Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands. Is was delight to see how the locals got into the spirit with song and dance not only downtown on mainstreet, but throughout all the residential areas. There was a group of "elderly' black men that had put together a very loose ensemble and rode around on a flat bed truck playing music during the season. I only wish I would have access to a horn so that I could have joined them. It was truly inspiring. When not prowling the neighborhoods they would be down at the town square and there would be singing and dancing. Got that right -- cheaper and probably faster than waterboarding. Tinyman ______________________________ Stupid people are like glo-sticks. I want to shake the shit out of them till the light comes on

For me its Walking In a Winter Wonderland. Many years ago a radio morning show used to play a parody of this song Walking Around in Women's Underwear. Every time I hear the real one I can't stop thinking about the parody. It was funny at the time, but damn annoying today. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

Too numerous to list. I am fairly Grinchy when it comes to Christmas music.

I prefer Bing Crosby and Mannheim Steamroller almost exclusively, with a few exceptions. Most others annoy me - the most obnoxious of which have already been listed. ____________________________ While you may be able to get away with bottom shelf whiskey, stay the hell away from bottom shelf tequila. - FishOn

Three weeks of Christmas music would be fine, even pleasant. Two or more months of Christmas music is like being stuck on an elevator listening to Muzak for two months.

"Oh Holy Night" - Charlie Pride. I swear he was drunk when he recorded that tune. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them".

For me IDK but for the wife, it's probably Porky Pig... Blue Christmas. LOL! Left for work one morning at 4AM and left it on repeat, streamed from my computer to a big console stereo in the den that the wife didn't know how to operate. She was still asleep. She finally managed to slide the stereo out from the wall far enough to unplug it. When I got home she didn't even mention it... or anything else for that matter . And years later, to this day I haven't mentioned it. No idea how long she suffered before she got it stopped, probably hours as she drifted in and out of sleep. If you aren't familiar with just how annoying it is... Link to original video: https://youtu.be/Sh-w7GNAKl0 Collecting dust.

It has to be Grandma Got Run Over .... It was funny the first five or so times I heard it, cute the next fifty times or so it played, but after that, I just can't listen and it's been that way for, what? Forty years? Bob

In about another 10 days or so, they're all going to be tied for "most annoying". === I would like to apologize to anyone I have *not* offended. Please be patient. I will get to you shortly.

Preach it. Who plays a drum for a baby? And there were no drummers in the Levant. The tune is moronic. Pa rum pa rum pum? Spare me. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Age Quod Agis |
I'll add in that I'm sick to death of Pentatonix. Yes, they have some talent, but good God, they over-sing, over-do, and over-over every damned song that they touch. The adage "the notes you don't play can be more important than the ones you do" really applies to these guys. And if I never hear their version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" again for reasons other than my untimely death, I'll be fine with that. "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation." Alfred Hornik, Sunday, December 2, 1945 to his family, on his continuing duty to others for surviving WW II.

The Twelve Days of Christmas. Talk about stupid, impractical, "white elephant" gifts. You'd need a football stadium to hold all the people, animals and things by the time the song is done.

I am just going to leave this hear. There is at least one version of the Little Drummer Boy I can listen to. Otherwise everything in moderation.
