Big shot GB seller sold a true rarity SIG that I was original owner of. SIG DE made only 25 of this model worldwide. I bought it from MMBI, fresh from Germany, NIB, shot a total of 900 rds through it, and subsequently sold it on GB myself in March 29, 2021 as used. The buyer knew it was used.

Lo and behold, it popped up on consignment a couple of weeks ago as NIB/NOS. Recognized it immediately, I messaged seller (consignee) to let him know what's up, and that I have all documentations that it's no longer NIB, and it cannot be passed off as NIB. I even sent them picture proof of the gun that's been dirtied from use. Two messages sent. Totally ignored. And, I have been a customer of theirs. Feel sorry for the sucker who shelled out over 10k for it tonight. Thing is, many prior pics of this specific gun (SN 71-226-022798) can easily be found on the internet (on SIGforum and on the other SIG forum), so, it will be interesting, when the latest buyer finds out that the gun has been misrepresented.

I appreciate your honor and indignation if not anger. On the GB site is there a messaging method to users? If you could message the buyer he might get as indignant as required to void the sale.

I think I already know the answer, but, will GB care if you informed them? After all if they lied about this sale what else have they/will they lie about?

I bet the state’s attorney general would love to see your messages and proof as well.

Thank you for letting us know - hopefully the buyer finds out and does what he can to hold a dishonest seller accountable. It's a spectacular and rare pistol that many would love to own - I'm sure the auction would have done well without the false claims! Unfortunately, false or misleading statements are common on that site even from sellers with extensive positive feedback.

Interesting that all the photos in the ad are essentially repeats of the same exterior shots and there are no photos of the internal wear areas.

Seems pretty dumb to try that after so many rounds. You’d think that new owner would strip it for the first time and be pretty pissed at what they find.

Would the buyer have any recourse? Refuse to pay, etc? It is fraud, after all, and illegal. In my mind, the seller is lucky the local police aren't filling out paperwork on him this evening.

Is this "Big shot GB seller" the one that starts w/ a 'K', the one you've used many times before and recommended on SF? If so, why refrain from naming them?

Sorry, it was long adventure day yesterday. Drove to DFW and back. Didn't realize their weather was so nasty, 28 degrees and freezing rain. A normally less-than-4-hr one way trip turned into 5 hours. Finally got home about 10 last night, but I digress....

Unless you actually know the person's personal email, or if the person was selling something, and you can communicate with him via GB system using that listing, there is no way. I can't just click on the winner's handle and let him know. But, I knew one of the low bidders from the other site and messaged him to let him know. Maybe, since he was bidding on it, Keystone would listen to him and make the correction. Nope, he ignored me, too.

You will never see any internals of any pistols Keystone sells. They don't even rack the slide to show you the barrel smilies. Ever. Maybe once every leap year, they will show internals of a rifle. Maybe.

If he finds out before, sure he can refuse to pay a misrepresented item. If he finds out after, then he will need to do whatever necessary to resolve the situation.

A quick Google search shows a lot of people by the name of the buyer so trying to find them to let them know would be difficult.

Is there any way to show those pictures to the buyer?

If you take 30 seconds to glance over their listings and how they title and word their auctions that should've given you an insight as to the kind of seller they are. Their ads come off basically sounding like a used car dealership except with guns.

Admittedly I have purchased from the seller in question on several occasions and in my case I've been been satisfied with the purchase. I went in knowing full well of their tendency to use exaggerated wordings and descriptions.

Not saying what they're doing is excusable but to be surprised seems a bit disingenuous.

Also let's not discount the possibility that the buyer may already know the condition of this specific firearm, for something as rare as it is the value difference between an excellent vs a true NOS specimen would be negligible.

Finally, the buyer presumably is a grown adult and therefore it should be up to them to decide if they're unhappy with the purchase and take whatever appropriate action. I'd stay out of it.

^^^^ There's a difference between flowery and exaggerated descriptions and outright lie. Everyone who has seen their auctions knows their style. No one should be surprised by that. I have bought from them, and every single one has been true rarity. I also have consigned to them, and every single one has been true rarity and in true condition as claimed. So, even when you take into consideration their style in these cases, they were accurate. But, when they were caught in lie and presented with proof, and refused to correct their listing, don't pretend to tell me that's not a surprise. "disingenuous"? Please.

FYI, there have been previous occasions when the exact scenario happened, but with a different outcome. Someone alerted them that their "NIB" gun has been fired by previous owner. They made the correction and even allowed for withdrawal of bids that were placed prior to the truth was made known.
