Lay siege to the Four Seasons Hotel across the street (and our bedroom windows).
Arrived late at night on Thursday and gathered silently in wait. Around 2 am a single short car honk as in asking permission to get through and the screaming started.
First a timid bunch, then dozens, hundreds and possibly peaked close a thousand. All looking a the hotel and screaming at the top of their lungs each time a window curtain stirs, anywhere in the front of the hotel.

When asked who we have to thank for the attention got three different replies. One singled out a member of One Direction. Even when The Stones or Michael Jackson stayed there I don’t recall so much fuzz.

Breath in, breath out, breath in, SCREAM! seems to be their mantra. Even if we go to the opposite side of the apartment the sound bounces and comes in as if was produced on the other side. No escape.

Go away, you screaming twits. Get a life (elsewhere).

They are also freezing their fat asses off, my corner is a windy bottleneck close enough to the river to make you miserable if you stand still.

I’ve never understood the idol fan behavior. Not for Elvis. Not for Michael. Not for any celebrity. Or sports pro. Even as a teen, never understood it. Doubly now.

Not the same but tangentially related. We took a trip to a lake. Lots of people on boats. Of them all, one boat was blasting ‘sound’ - rap / hip hop or something along those lines. You could hear it a half mile away. Dude, get a clue.
