FredwardUPS Fail
I ordered a MacBook from Apple. It was to be delivered today. At 7:06pm, I got a text from Apple saying it had been delivered. I checked the porch, no delivery. I checked with the neighbors, no delivery. I asked the kid outside playing, he had not seen a UPS truck. I got on the phone to Apple and went thru the rigamarole. They agree to ship another computer and will file a complaint with UPS. As part of the process, I reviewed the Proof of Delivery, which is supposed to include a photo of the delivered package. The photo showed a pile of packages, apparently in the UPS truck. I think maybe someone employed by UPS stole my package. Oh well. If it's replaced, I'm ok. If it's not, I'll cancel the credit charge. But it's a pain in the ass.

YooperSigsCant say I have ever seen a UPS proof of delivery photo that is of a package still in the truck! I would think thats a firing offense for a driver.

Ha! UPS is union. Good luck getting someone fired. I worked there for 5 years in college. One of our mechanics kept showing up drunk. He was gone for a while, but came right back.

95flhrInteresting, I just got a UPS delivery from Apple, they required a signature on it.

Rick_PerryI've never had a UPS delivery from Apple that didn't require a signature. I've had my fair share.

FredwardI complained to Apple, and they accessed the POD and photo. They said a replacement would be shipped out the next day. I went to lunch the next day, came home, and the package was on my porch. I happily set it up. About 7pm, another package was delivered-another computer. I called Apple to straighten out the mess. They wanted the computer back, but they wanted the one I had already set up. They talked me thru the process to restore factory settings and I Fed Exxed it the next day. Giant pain in the ass. Next time I drive the 35 miles to the Apple store.
