I agree with the OP. He's a smart man..... John The key to enforcement is to punish the violator, not an inanimate object. The punishment of inanimate objects for the commission of a crime or carelessness is an affront to stupidity.

First I'll say, I like pop music, but the Beatles aren't my favorite by a long shot. With that said, I'll cite this as the reason I believe McCartney is due his accolades. This composition is assessed far better in the link than I could. https://arikoinuma.com/blog/20...-beatles-penny-lane/ The fact that the complexity of this tune could be presented so simply and (IMO) amusingly is testament to his prowess. BTW, I like cabernet. As always, opinions vary. "We're all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packing house. Birth 'til death. We travel between the eternities."

And while disliking their earlier albums and losing interest in anything they did it all changed with Sgt. Pepper's At first it too did not make an impression on me, I pretty much ignored it. Until one day in driver's education class. I still remember it, we were on State at William Streets, downtown Ann Arbor in the summer of 1967. WJR was analyzing the album, forgot who's show it was and they started playing "When I'm 64". Well at 15 you think that is a million years away, our instructor said "It's really not that far off". He was a great instructor, used to take his students to breakfast or lunch depending if the class met at that time. And we could obviously listen to the radio, he wanted us to experience driving as it really was. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. It was a hell of a time to be a H.S. kid for so many reasons. The Beatles were in the middle of it all so there's that. I'm glad I was there for it. Wine really sucks. Set the controls for the heart of the Sun.

I always call them the Shitty Beatles. I've never drank, so no idea about wine. "Ninja kick the damn rabbit"

Wine, horrid. Beatles, good. Rum, and anything with a fiddle, better. Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. Complaining about the Beatles? In 2019? Don't worry. I don't think they are going to get everybody back together for a comeback tour. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." To the OP: Congrats on creating a genuine clickbait thread. You don’t like The Beatles? Cool. But the influence that The Beatles, and to a lesser extent The Beach Boys and Harry Nilsson had on music is incalculable. To say they “sucked” is an ignorant statement. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Well then, this could make things interesting. https://www.yesterdaymovie.com/ “Description: Jack Malik is a struggling singer-songwriter in an English seaside town whose dreams of fame are rapidly fading, despite the fierce devotion and support of his childhood best friend, Ellie. After a freak bus accident during a mysterious global blackout, Jack wakes up to discover that The Beatles have never existed. Performing songs by the greatest band in history to a world that has never heard them, Jack becomes on overnight sensation with a little help from his agent.” --------------------- DJT-45/47 MAGA !!!!! I preferred the Dave Clark Five rather than the Beatles. But then again I didn't like Stroh's beer either. I guess I was quite the contrarian back then.

I never say "sucked" when it comes to music tastes. I think the Beatles are/were the most influential Rock Band in history. However, they were/are no where near my favorite. Wine tastes vary - don't drink it then.

I like the Abbey Road album. A few other Beatles songs as well. They were influential even though some of their stuff did suck. Wine, or liking it is entirely a taste thing. I fucking love single malt scotch and bourbon. Some people don't. Wine , I can take it or leave it but it usually best with food. _______________________ “There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life.” ― Frank Zappa
