We’re visiting some friends and the wife watches Today show. They did a segment extolling the virtues of some graffiti “artist”. Yeah some of it is pretty creative BUT who decided it’s ok to spray paint all over any surface they find.
Calling it “art” is a sorry excuse for defacing others property.

It should be jail time for all of it IMO.
I remember a time when you could watch a three mile long train go through town and not see one bit of graffiti on it. Now, you can't see three cars go by without them being covered with it. It was a better time...then.

How much of these virtues are NIMBY? Typical leftists - okay if it's over there by you. Not okay if it's over here by me. What would they say if the same artists was doing stuff next door to them? Police, call the police!

We were driving near Pasco Washington when about 100 BRAND NEW oil tanker train cars rolled by.
They were all very beautifully pre-tagged at the factory. If only I had my camera. They were beautiful!

Those train box cars all have important safety markings on the side that are referenced by train workers on a regular basis.
Obscuring them puts those workers at a safety risk and I don't see the artistic value in that function at all.
