This absolutely sucks. Maybe I’d feel better if I had done something stupid to suffer this but all I did was get out of a truck and I feel like someone took a bat to my shoulder. I do enjoy our discussions here but I get restless sitting at home. Okay I’m done bitching now.

Hyaluronic acid and krill oil are some of the things needed: https://www.lifeextension.com/...acting-joint-formula https://www.lifeextension.com/...ealthy-joint-formula Krill oil is Omega-3 fatty acid, consisting of Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). 41

Apparently I did tear my rotator cuff. I guess that explains it. Reminder me not to do this again.

Don't do it again. ![]() _________________________________________________________________________ “A man’s treatment of a dog is no indication of the man’s nature, but his treatment of a cat is. It is the crucial test. None but the humane treat a cat well.” -- Mark Twain, 1902

You can say that again. ![]() But, in all seriousness, if you did really tear your rotator cuff (RC), then it is an cute injury, not osteoarthritis (OA), which is a chronic condition and entirely different animal. That doesn't mean you might not have OA, however. Btw, the AC joint is not an integral component of the RC. Q

I understand. Two separate locations. They said it’s not a full thickness tear so surgery is probably not needed yet. I only talked to the assistant so I need to do the follow up with the doc next week. If it wasn’t for SF and a treadmill, I’d be completely stir crazy.

The steroids did help, but sleeping isn’t much fun. I roll around a lot. That’ll wake you up.

Had mine done on Right (Dominant) shoulder 10 years ago. Similar to yours by description. Arthritis that caused a partial tear in R Cuff. Kept working/functioning for as long as possible with AC Joint injections. Surgeon told me to I could do this essentially as long as I wanted/tolerated. Or until I got tired of it. I think I did 6 marcaine/steroid injections. Surgery was simple. Definitely want a scalene block to control pain for first 24 hrs. Shaved/burred open joint space and cleaned it out. Small tear was shaved off. So I didn't have a full repair and reattach. Took 2 days off from work. The next week started rehab. Supposed to have 6 weeks of rehab. Completed course and goals in 2 weeks. Yes, I would have done sooner if I had known how easy and how much pain relief would result.
