Pool Pump broke 2 weeks ago - $200 for me to tear down/rebuild and reinstall, then had to invest $200 in minerals etc.. to balance again $400 Total
Hot Tub stopped working/showed GFCI fault last Sunday- Touchscreen inop/something wrong with board inside - $600 paid for repair Tuesday
YESTERDAY! - 4yr old GE profile $2800 refrigerator took a shit and wouldn't cool. We had just put $400 of groceries in there. Repair guy came and said evaporator went bad and leaked out all the freon. Not worth repair. New refrigerator just delivered for $2100 - new groceries went in trash.
We had already set the appointment and paid a deposit for new gutters to be installed tomorrow, so we're keeping the appointment - $2500 for those tomorrow.
I'm scared to touch anything around the damn house for fear of it crumbling in my hands.
$8100 of additional bills THIS MONTH!!!!
I'll be sitting in the corner of the living room "Naked & Afraid" with the whole 1.75L bottle of Buffalo Trace all weekend hoping these ghosts stop kicking my ass.

Sorry to hear. Ours wasn't quite that bad, but 2024 repeatedly kicked us in the teeth.
This year has been better, with a few surprises thrown in so far.

IT SUCKS! This is the first year that we have finally been able to get all of our family to commit to getting together and we are doing it at our house for Thanksgiving. They're flying/driving to our home from both sides of the family - Mom/Dad, aunts/uncles, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. Basically, a family reunion. These pop-up costs took my Thanksgiving fund to $0. I'm thankful nothing has happened to anyone's health. We have alot to be thankful for and will have a time to remember regardless of this.

The Bosch does an exceptional job overall. I haven’t had any issues because of the higher humidity either. It runs a little higher but ramps down as usual in the evening.

Been there brother. It’s also why I will never own, after this house (my first owned, first lived in, my whole life), another traditional home. I bought rural acreage 2.5 years ago and I’m going all metal construction on the house and garage to put on it. Once I can pull the move off, I rid myself of the following.
Traditional home. Shingled roof. Yard. Pool. Spa.
These traditional homes can suck it. This year, same as you, $3k+ on the yard and landscaping. Probably real close to $4k. $3500 next month in fence work (re-stain, and replace wood of retaining wall) and another $2k+ on pool deck work as the concrete around the deep end is cracking etc. I’ve had it. The day I sell this mother fucker will be the best day of my life. I’m living and working my ass off for that day. 19 years, this month. I’ve had so many days where if I owned a grenade, I would have pulled the pin and thrown it right in that got damn pool. And many days I wanted to be Milt from Office Space and set the building on fire. Your got damn right the house and the associated bullshit to run it will literally put the fear of God into you and it can drive you insane if you let it.
I’ve seen 3-4 homes over the last 4 years with a plumbing contractor parked out front. 2-3 Mexicans tunneling under the house with a big mound of dirt. Sometimes holes on both sides of the home. They were replacing water lines and/or sewer lines under the home. That’s $30,000 around these parts and I pray to God, this does not happen to me until after I have sold this bitch. Lord hear my prayers!
What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Everyone healthy at least? I’ve had months like that.
Hope next month is the opposite and everything is amazing.
