In little league my son hit a double when it mattered. The coach on the opposing team yelled and saluted my son by giving him the finger. The coach was not tossed. My son looked straight at the opposing coach and laughed.

For sure it’s the parents.

I had a friend who officiated youth sports and said the best thing that ever happened for the kids was when they started up again after covid without allowing spectators in the stands. He felt the kids were never happier and the level of sportsmanship shown was off the charts.
