My wife hates it when I’m driving her somewhere and things are windy. It gets so bad she has to open the car windows so some of it can get out.

A couple years ago riding back from Montana on I-90 on a motorcycle when approaching an exit the electronic overhead sign read high wind warning, trucks and high profile vehicles exit here.
With strong winds coming from the south I proceeded, naturally leaned over to the right in order to go straight. It was nice the big trucks were off because you need to be careful when passing one as when beside it they block the wing making your leaned over motorcycle suddenly veer right into/under the truck. In that situation if there were trucks I pass them on the far left side of the left lane.

When I bought front wheel drive VW Rabbit I noticed it was considerably more stable in side winds than my previous cars. All rear wheel drive.

For the first time in decades I’m driving a rear wheel drive car again (Genesis G70). But San Diego has a much lower incidence of strong winds than any other place that I’ve lived (MN, FL, AZ).

You need to have the correct CAR. Note I did way CAR because they are lower to the ground with a lot less "Sail" area that some giant truck.

So what car should you drive. Basically you want as low as possible with a wide wheel track and at least 3000 lbs. of weight. I would suggest a C7 Corvette, not the C8 because it has just too many styling lumps that increase the Sail Area by a small amount. In addition the C8 is just so ugly it's offensive. So start shopping for a Used Z06 C7 Corvette, wonderfully smooth styling that just plain works. In addition it is a car that you can actually work on. I had one fellow tell me that to change the oil you have to remove the engine on the C8, or was it some Ferrari.
