I saw a commercial today for Veozah. It's prescribed to menopausal women for hot flashes. They listed one of the side effects as hot flashes. WTF? "We're all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packing house. Birth 'til death. We travel between the eternities." | |||

Before the TV commercials there was the PDR or physicans desk reference. It came out every year and every doctor had one. It listed ALL the potential side effects and their frequency. Death was always one of them. In those days I would ask my PCP about side effects. It is always a balance between the disease and side effects. For example many antbiotics cause diarrhea. Knowing that he would suggest taking probiotics. Much more professinal IMO. | |||

Allowing the drug companies to advertise on television was one of the worst decisions ever made. You can count on the fact,that if there is a television ad for a new drug, it will cost you a fortune and your drug insurance won't cover it, because it'S too new for them to acknowledge it may work. Almost all I have investigated will run $600 to $1000 a month, so you are out that amount just to find out if it helps you or not.Those ads don't come cheap and you're paying for them. | |||
