corsairGout, oh how I hate thee.
Ok, reading through this thread and now I'm dealing with a parent having gout pain.
Are there diet plans, cookbooks or, website resources that many of you refer to?
Trying to help out as July 4th is coming up and want to make sure they've got their meals straightened out.

HRKPlenty of intel on Gout, you should take notice of what you have eaten once the attack happens.
You should also google every medication you take and see if one of them can cause a gout attack.
Diuretics do that for me, first time on a BP medication, a diuretic is part of it and bam, first gout attack, getting off those medication types stopped the gout attacks. Wasn't Beer or shell fish or rich foods..

fwbulldogPeople that have not experienced it just don’t understand how painful it is.
My wife was mocking me for complaining about the sheet being on my toe…
“Really, it’s that bad?”
Um, yea, it really is.
