I supported her and even threw some funds her way...

So when I got a mailing from her today I just assumed it was a birthday card since it is about two weeks away and rarely do I get spammed from her. The envelope even looked like a card.

Nope!

It was a letter (in a fake hand writing font) stating she was being "attacked" and needs funds to defend herself.

Sorry Marsha, much as I love you I'm a bit strapped today. Besides, I expect your net worth is just a bit north of mine.

Maybe next time!

Collecting dust.

Never ever trust any of these trashes asking for donations. Don't even open them. They immediately go in the recycle bin.

Was this even legit? I have not received anything from her.

I had my name sold to some Congressional candidate in Colorado a number of years ago and monthly I was getting solicitations to donate to their fund. Finally got off that list and a couple others too.

Never lived there, haven’t stepped foot in that state since 1982 nor any plans to in the near future if ever again.

I'd examine that mailing very carefully. It may appear to have an official letterhead, but I'll bet it's a third party. Then shit-can it.

How did you manage to get off the list?

The reason I ask is that for about 1.5 years I donated monthly to Trump's 2020 re-election via winred. Winred sold my name and I have text, e-mail, and mail solicitations from all over the country (i.e. senate and house for states other than Texas). I've went to winred to change my phone number, but it didn't stop it. I must type "stop" 30 times a week to political texts. I'm on the verge of saying "fuck it" and changing the phone number I've had for 20 years.

Isn’t it a lovely price you have to pay when you donate? They’re worse than religious group knockers and strays.
