For many years I was prescribed 50 strips every 3 months. Last year I received a new monitor & was told I could only get 50 strips every 6 months unless I was on Insulin. What is the VA experience with other forum members?This message has been edited. Last edited by: Anush,

Wow. I'm supposed to test 6 times daily, but the insurance company provides strips. Every other day seems like very little.

Nope. Dr. told me to check every 3 days. I don't take pills anymore. I control mine through diet and exercise. Lost around 45 lbs. after my wife died 7 yrs. ago.
