I am excited for the world cup
While I'll of course cheer for the US, I expect to be wearing my Argentina jersey in the final.

Given that some of the games are here in Houston, I'm not looking forward to the expected traffic increase. Luckily it's all on the other wide of town to me.

It's made the IAH area [where my office is] a pain, as they've been doing tons of road work & visual reconditioning of the area.

I'm sick of hearing about it every time I turn on theTV or radio.
I am NOT a fan!

I'm not going to enjoy the days off I'm going to lose because I'm considered "essential" to my job.

I thought about going to Jerry World in Dallas to see a game. I looked at the scalpers ticket prices and noped out real quick. I saw some people posting that prices may be coming down, but even if they fall 30% I doubt I will go.

I’m excited for it to end

NYC was a PITA to drive through yesterday.

The local radio station was saying that caller tickets were selling for $8k. You will see more and hear more on tv and you still have $8k in your pocket.

Same but in DFW. I won’t be going near that entire side of the metroplex until the shit is over.

I would go to a game if the cheapest tickets I saw in Dallas weren't $700 each. I'm seeing some stories that FIFA is holding tickets trying to create demand at high prices and that there's a good chance the market will go down.

I hope FIFA gets a slap in the face and the prices fall. I'm not a huge soccer fan, but I watch a few games during the world cup.

I have never watched it until yesterday. Wife opined it was better than football (American).

Conclusion - our Pro athletes are overpaid and need to be considerably better behaved. I think the soccer players have more skill ( and are in better condition) than most American athletes I have seen.
