All I wear anymore are Brooks Adrenaline sneakers. For work, it’s the all black ones.
They retail for $140 but Brooks has them on sale quite ofthen. When the new version comes out, the price gets cut to $90. They last about a year but they are the best shoe for my feet.
I was like you and wouldn’t spend over $50 for sneakers but those shoes turned to junk pretty fast.

I've been picking up Asolo goretex sneakers from Sierra Trading for like 8-10 years now. Each pair lasts 2-3 years of almost daily use, so the roughly 80-100$ price is worth it for me.
