I am talking about the medical literature and the view of pulmonologists who treat sleep apnea and insomnia. The articles cited are not the equivalent of Journal studies.
It may work for you, but as a rule it makes things worse. American Academy of Sleep Medicine would be an example or an expert opinion from a pulmonologist.

I have worn an oral appliance for the past 10 years. I have very very mild sleep apnea and the only reason I wear the appliance is for snoring.
I just did another sleep study a couple months back and still very mild. The mouthpiece is better than a CPAP for a multitude of reasons.
But I am waiting on a CPAP (apparently there is some sort of National shortage) that I will use for 30 days and my Dr. will deem it as not helpful and then I am planning to get the Inspire Implant. But if course insurance will not cover the implant without having the CPAP first.

Likely so. But really can’t say for sure. It’s been 11 years on this schedule. I worked nights before that but Ever since college I actually prefer to get up early I was all about the 7:30 classes in college. I think in all of college I only had 2 classes after noon. One was Astronomy so that was kind of a given and the other was sailing.
And last 2 years of High School on the weekends I got up at 3:30 or 4:00 when weather was nice so I could be on the lake right at 5:00 when the dock opened for me to rent the boat and I’d fish till 11:00 or noon then take a little nap then pick up the little girly friend when she got off work.
It’s weird because it just happens once a month or maybe even just once every couple of months. Other than that no real trouble sleeping. I fall asleep fast and as long as a kiddo does not come in the room generally sleep well until the alarm goes off.
Schedule is very consistent at least when it comes to going to bed and getting up.

ZSMICHAELPhillips had a giant recall on their machines. Others,however, are available with limited waiting. Call your supplier and see whether there are other CPAP options for you. Inspire is expensive. Runs about 40 grand and battery replacement is 17 grand

Appreciated this suggestion. I ended up sampling a good number and found this one to be perfect. Dark screen, distant non-startling thunder, mild rain... all soothing.
