Bass Pro Hats
Are they being issued to “influencers” at airport terminals? Tell me you’re here as a tourist without saying I’m a tourist. Are there matching name tags?

I admit that the one BassPro hat I have, I bought at the great pyramid in Memphis.

I was in awe. I couldn’t help myself.

I buy stuff at Bass Pro.

Yesterday I was in the Bass Pro Holy Shrine in Springfield MO.

NOTHING I own is branded with the Bass Pro logo. I am not spending my money to advertise for anyone. Especially stores and Auto dealers.

It's "ironic"

getting a little long in the tooth for a meme at this point.

They are now en vogue among celebrities and “inthluencers”.

Brad Pitt was spotted at the Isle of Man TT sporting one.

My kids aren’t influencers but we have quite a few. They cost $5 and come in lots of colors.

I hate Bass Pro. They have completely destroyed Cabela's. Powder, Primers, and Shot are always in short supply and 3 out of 4 trips are a complete waste of fuel and time. As for the hats, if they are anything like their clothing they will start to fall apart after 3 weeks.

I've stopped counting.

I used to enjoy going to the Dundee Cabela’s. Not anymore.

The store looks like it did when it opened, dated, shabby. Like a lower tier outlet store. I know it’s past history but a few years ago they had two Hi-Points in the used gun selection that still had property room numbers written on them with a silver sharpie.

Gun Library, the staff if there is any inside never approach and greet. I work in a LGS and we greet everyone upon entry no matter what and vintage Colt revolver in the library last year. I was talking to my grandson about it, the salesman was at a desk maybe six to eight feet away from us. He was doing some paperwork so I didn’t expect him to drop and run to our side. But a simple acknowledgement with “I’ll be with you in a minute” would have went a long way. We left.

If he had put it in my hands it would have probably left with me. But their salesman saved me a few hundred bucks.

In contrast the Bass Pro store in Auburn Hills has a lot of merchandise albeit fishing and boating.

I would hope other Cabela’s locations have not faired as poorly.

Bass Pro has become the sporting goods version of Big Lots, what they have done with Cabelas is a crime.
It’s my opinion those hats are someone’s idea of trolling the visitors.

Our Cabela's is still pretty good. Well stocked, well lit, and pleasant staff (excluding perhaps the gun counter.) The thing with their caps-there a heck of a lot cheaper than similar hats by other companies. I guess they get their free advertising and sell at a lesser mark up. I generally don't buy there because their guns are MUCH higher than Bud's, across town, but I do browse from time to time and sometimes buy their candy, the old stuff, like Necco wafers and Chunky's. I read that they closed their gun libraries after losing millions buying used guns they couldn't sell.

Part of it is the Europeans visiting for World Cup. Apparently, it's a thing to go to bass pro shops to check out aquariums, buy some snacks, and buy hats/shirts. Of course, they have to post videos of the above on social media to fully be a lemming.

Sure, but at least remove the reference numbers from it before it’s put in the showcase.

WHO CARES what is on someone else's hat. Seriously, find a hobby or something. Of all of the things to complain about.

I do and I’ve got more hobbies than I have time or money to keep up with. Wondering about people’s motivations is one of those hobbies. Is it safe to assume you wear Bass Pro hats in an awkward manner? I didn’t mean to rattle your cage with my question.

We went to Bass Pro this week to return an item. It was about to storm and my wife had left her umbrella at the Doctor's office earlier in the week. No problem , surely they sell umbrellas right ? Yep . They sure do . With a massive BP logo on it. It seems like everything they sell has a logo ....
