Get my pies outta the oven! |
I keep seeing ads for this show "Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens" on Comedy Central while watching reruns of King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond and I figured I'd give it a try. After all Awkwafina was in Jumanji: The Next Level as Ming Fleetfoot and was pretty funny there I thought: I turned on an episode of this show and lasted 5 minutes. Wow was that bad...painfully bad! Don't bother with it.

5 minutes of your life you'll NEVER get back, eh?? Been there... Thanks for the heads up. "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Is there any comedy on Comedy Central? I don’t know who gets paid to buy/develop shows on that channel … but it’s quite apparent they haven’t the faintest idea of what’s funny and what is simply childish dreck. ___________________ Company, villainous company hath been the spoil of me.

^^^^^^ I only watch at night and am a fan of The Office. Beyond that (at night), it's pure woke, Libtarded trash. I honestly don't know what airs during the day... My friend's brother is the author of Crazy Rich Asians, and was part of the team making his novel into a movie. Awkwafina had a supporting role in the movie, but for some reason they bill her as co-star. The way she played her character was way more over than the top than how I'd read the novel. IMO, she played the character more like Jar Jar Binks. BTW, her real name is Nora Lum and she was born in Queens. Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity DISCLAIMER: These are the author's own personal views and do not represent the views of the author's employer.

Am I the only one who hated Crazy Rich Asians?

I like it. Grandma is the funniest part of the show. The most recent episode had a pretty wicked take on reality shows.

"Awkwafina (Nora Lum) born in Stony Brook, Long Island, New York, to a Chinese American father and a Korean American mother." Despite that being minutes away, I'd never heard of her till this thread. I'm so old...!
