So I was just notified that a dear friend has been moved to inpatient Hospice care. Time is extremely short. She has been fighting the good fight for several years now and is worn out and done. She leaves behind a wonderful husband and three beautiful daughters. She is the most gentle soul I've ever known. We go tonight to say goodbye. If you're the praying sort please pray for Bernie. I pray she goes soon and without pain. She's in her early 50's and has had to endure far far more than she deserves. If you're the cussing type then please join me in a chorus of fuck you cancer. Update- My friend passed this morning. She will be sorely missed. Sincere thanks to all for your prayers.This message has been edited. Me, too. A year ago December I lost a good friend to cancer, she and I had known each other since I was in eighth grade. Almost eight years ago I lost my sister to cancer, as well as the guy who had cut my hair for nearly thirty years.
