I really don't care what other people have with them or do,as long as whatever animal it is doesn't bother me, or come near me, it isn't a concern and I stay out of other people's business.

SYMIE THE SERVICE CAT

https://www.thecatniptimes.com...mie-the-service-cat/

"...I am proud to introduce you to Symie and his human, Jennifer. Symie is a fully trained and graduated Seizure and Diabetic Alert Service Cat. Symie graduated in 2009 before the ADA’s new law took affect declaring that only dogs and mini horses could be considered service animals. Symie, however, is very capable, as you will learn..."

ETA: Conspiracy theorists will assert that cats were eliminated from the "service animal" list due to the intense and corrupt lobbying efforts of the dog and miniature horse PACs...

The wife had a service dog. The training was done with a pro, and took a couple years. The dog was frequently the best behaved customer in the store/restaurant/library/whatever.

The man who helped me get my first job has had his eyesight deteriorate for years, recently became legally blind, and just recently got his first seeing eye dog (German shedder). Pretty amazing how smart that dog is and what that dog can do.

There is a man at work with pretty bad diabetes and has a service dog that alerts him. Dog detects issues before his continuous glucose monitor. His service dog is 100% focused on him and does not interact with other people. His service dog is the only one I've seen at my employer's office in my 30 years.

Those are the only 2 people I know with actual legit service dogs. Unfortunately, I know dog owners with the fake certs and vests so they can take their pet dog to restaurants and stores Roll Eyes
