I can’t explain to you how hard it is to read all the gun related posts here while being an Illinois resident. Until the Supreme Court steps in and makes this BS gun ban illegal, I feel like I’m trapped. I’ve never owned a bolt action rifle and I’m still allowed to own them so that might be something worth pursuing. Please remind me to genuflect to Pritzker for his gracious gift. SCOTUS can’t rule on this fast enough. Okay, through bitching for now.

I agree about IL, one bright spot is the big bucks. I usually do a little deer hunting north of Peoria. Besides any food, I think soil minerals and genetics play a role towards antler growth.

I'm not wanting full auto. It's fun, but more fun when Uncle Sam foots the bill! Suppressed and SBR would be nice. More than 10 rounds would be awesome! Balanced budget would be cool too. Maybe no liberal, out of touch, fat slobs running the state... ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. ^^^^^^^^^^ Anything we want and can afford to buy and feed would be constitutionally more correct. Full-auto was a fun waste of time and money for me, I could hit better and at longer ranges with my pistol than with a SMG, but I still view it as a God-given right. I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of the $85 billion + worth of armament we left in Afghanistan is coming back into the country via our southern border. It won't be long before you start seeing it on the streets of Chicago, but I'll bet it won't be in our hands! -------------------------- Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. -- H L Mencken I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. -- JALLEN 10/18/18

I hope not! I have a hard enough time with the stuff the gangs have now! The truly unfortunate thing is that Cook, Lake and Dupage Co's politics pretty much control the rest of the state. I really understand why everyone south of I-80 wants us (pretty much Chicago) to have our own state. 400M- Regarding the out of touch fat slob: Quick story: During covid, I did a quick side-job, Unfortunately it was for Hyatt Hotel Corporate. You know, the hotel chain that the Pritzkers own. Beautiful Office space overlooking Wolf Point (where the Chicago River branches North and South). I and a few others were doing security when Hyatt was laying people off during the COVID scamdemic. Making sure none of the employees went "postal" when they were returning their Company stuff (laptop, key cards, credit cards...) Doing a walk through with the property manager, he pointed out a lot of really cool stuff in the office spaces. Herman Miller Chairs- about $7000 a piece. Black leather... These were custom made- brown leather... And an ottoman.... The fucking brown leather foot rest is $10,000. Ten fucking grand... The 4 Chairs were more! There's this Japanese Artist that designed a coffee table. It's a tree trunk, top cut flat, sanded smooth, laquered: $45,000. For a fucking tree trunk. There's a long wall, 40-50 yards long right as you enter the space. It's a "living piece of art", and has multiple trinkets, pictures and memorialbeli on the wall from the history of Hyatt. Basically the "artist" hits the storage rooms across the country and picks out stuff and hangs it on the wall. He got to screw a dark green handset from a phone, including the cord to the wall. Borrowed a cordless drill from maintenance, with some (drywall) screws, and screwed the handset to the wall. $300 an hour. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS AN HOUR!!! There's a painting in the hall worth +/- $250,000. All of this was in the middle of massive layoffs in the company. They are going to pay some jerkoff $300 an hour, to screw something to the wall, couldn't bring his own cordless drill, yards away from where people are getting let go from their job. Maybe my thought process is askew, but what about selling off some of that bullshit, and maybe you can keep a few more people on the payroll. But what do I know, I didn't have to sue my family to make money. Must be nice to be able to shoot the family down to Florida (conveniently where mask requirements were much more lax than Illinois!), then bring the jet back to Chicago to haul his bloated ass to Florida because he doesn't get along with the wife. It must be nice. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Reliable sources tell me that the Prickster family is opening a gun shop just north of the Cheddar Curtain. Maybe Racine, but I don't remember details. I guess they intend to reap the profits of their totalitarianism by selling the shit they ban here up in Wisconsin. In the meantime, I had to get a 10-rd magazine for my G-47MOS just to stay "legal" here. I can't wait for the moment I finally escape! -------------------------- Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. -- H L Mencken I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. -- JALLEN 10/18/18

That family's hypocrisy know no bounds. I really liked Rauner. So did a lot of other people. Unfortunately, Madigan didn't like him, and torpedoed every move the guy tried to make. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. Could be worse. In NY we won with SCOTUS, and now it's worse than it was before we "won".

I feel for you. I live just across the Mississippi River in IA, and local media covers news from both states. I belong to a great private range in IL, and while my ARs are legal there now, who can predict the future. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Sigmund,
