Staring back from the abyss |
Why in the hell do I have to pay for movie rentals on a platform that I'M ALREADY PAYING FOR!! Fuck you Bezos! Don't have quite enough money yet? Is that it? Prick. I started buying books from you back in the 90s when you were dirt poor. You're welcome. Now, howsabout a little thanks, huh? ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

just wait, the best is yet to come. one day, when you try to watch a series, they will just show the episodes in some random order. and will throw in episodes from some completely random, different series for good measure. just like how they treat the music service when you want to listen to a particular symphony or concerto. i used to bundle my product orders to minimize shipping. now, if i just need a pencil, i'll order just that and select the fastest free shipping available because fuck it. Not everything available to watch is included with Prime. Only the things they have a licensing agreement for with the studio. Things that are outside those agreements may be available to watch for an additional fee. Amazon can't afford to license every movie/TV show ever produced so that's the way it is.

Per Paten's comment, sort of a similar situation with books for Kindle. Prime members get a limited selection of books to read for free. Kindle Unlimited subscribers, who pay an additional fee (nominally $9.99 / month last time I looked, with discounts frequently available), get a larger selection. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

I will go out of my way to AVOID FreeVee. The reason I subscribed to Prime was to NOT SEE commercials.

If Netflix can do it, so can Amazon. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

If you say Netflix can do it, watch it on Netflix.

thin skin can't win |
Some level of base content is free. Some upgrade items are not. I don't understand throwing toys out of the pram over that. If that equation isn't to someone's liking find a better deal if one even exists, but for many of us Prime is best in spite of not being an all you can eat buffet of every piece of content ever made. Every provider is going to some version of this. It's interesting that cutting the cord was relatively easy and could save money a few years ago. Now, to get the content that I'm gonna want on regular basis, I'm beginning to think my "cable" subscription is the best value, and certainly the easiest one stop shop. Like konata, and as a happy AMZN owner, I bundle orders as well, funny that there are others that has occurred to. In my case not as much to save money for them as to reduce number of days something is showing up at my house and to reduce number of trips up our long-ish walk for the drivers. /shrug? The only thing I order off Amazon is an ankle brace that I need to get every few years. I ordered it directly from the company last night. Fuck'em. "Ninja kick the damn rabbit"

That’s always been a gripe of mine about Amazon video. I already pay for a subscription, so FUCK YOU when you want $3 to stream a movie from pre-2000! ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. Paten is 100% correct and knows the business. Netflix cannot afford to license everything either. Amazon licensed films, well they rotate every month, just like MAX (HBO), Paramount (Showtime/TMC), STARZ, literally every movie channel. I check on Amazon myself, what’s been added, and what’s going away, and I’m happy with the video platform of theirs. I’ve been able to watch a lot of things I haven’t seen in years. I’m no fan of Bezos by a country mile, but I’m getting more than my money’s worth with Amazon utilizing their PRIME for shit for the house. Free shipping and their video platform, I’m exploiting the shits If it’s new new, some film that was at the theaters just a few months ago, yeah that’s $$$ to rent. Other films are $3.99. But they rotate with the other movie channels and $3.99 isn’t highway robbery. Blockbuster would charge you near that back in the 1990’s on VHS. What am I doing? Shall Not Be Infringed |
FreeVee has absolutely NOTHING to do w/ Amazon Prime. While it's owned by Amazon, and uses your Amazon account for login, it's an ad-supported 'Free' streaming service. They even put it right there in the name! ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! Thank you Amazon for offering me a place to see nearly new release movies for 3-4$ more than a single theatre ticket without all the hassle of gas, lines, loud people, etc. Again, thank you Amazon for THAT! and including prime video in your Amazon prime membership when your streaming service COULD be additional. Now, how about paying for the tolls and express lanes when taxes already go to roads??? 10 years to retirement! Just waiting!
