Terro liquid. Cut the tip off, Squirted out and a tiny drop hit me right in eye. Didn't think I would need safety glasses to set out bait. If it weren't for bad luck....

The active ingredient is Borax, not poisonous or corrosive to humans. It's used in household cleaners and toothpaste etc. It can make you sick if you ingest it in quantity, but it won't hurt you. I wouldn't worry about it. Lover of the US Constitution Wile E. Coyote School of DIY Disaster

Flushed it good with water, it's fine.

Must be ant season in Ohio....I've wrestled with these too but there's a new dispenser or bait out now that has an adhesion tab you can just pull off instead of having to cut off the stubborn plastic tab, much more better.

I usually make my own with about 50/50 Borax and either honey or peanut butter. Just mix it up and put on a piece of paper and place where you see them. Good results with both. Cheers~

I used Terro for quite a while until I couldn't find any and tried Combat instead. It was much more effective and cleaner for me than the Terro was. "Even if the world were perfect it wouldn't be." ... Yogi Berra

I go with the borax and some sort of sugar or syrup, then water to the right viscosity, and soak it into a cotton ball.

Thanks. The ant population has dwindled significantly with the Terro. I'll get some Combat to start battling the backyard ants.

Great, I see Borax on Amazon, I'll try that. Is it poisonous to tree rats? (squirrels), I don't like them but I don't want to poison them.
