When someone comes in and asks what gun they should get I always start with what’s the purpose and a budget. When they say home defense and there’s no budget I usually point them towards a p226 x-5 legion or something similar (I think it’d make a great home defense gun). Usually shortly after pointing them at the $2000+ gun the real budget comes out. I agree I don’t understand why people can’t say what they are looking to spend because there’s options for $200-300 I don’t think are terrible guns such as the Taurus G3s. If your budget is $150 I might try to convince you to come up with a little more and buy a Taurus, but if you’re dead set on $150 then the hi-point is your gun.

Don't forget Jimenez Arms pistols. _________________________________________________________________________ “A man’s treatment of a dog is no indication of the man’s nature, but his treatment of a cat is. It is the crucial test. None but the humane treat a cat well.” -- Mark Twain, 1902
