How screwed up is this?

Our state’s Attorney General Dana Nessel is afraid to attend the state’s Democratic Convention due to safety concern. She is the states chief law enforcement officer.

I’m not criticizing her nor a fan of hers. But she deserves the right to attend without fear of personal safety.

Some have speculated this is only a convenient excuse due to the division between her and the gubernatorial candidate Benson, our present Secretary of State and not to forget the division between her and our present Governor Whitmer whom she has been critical of lately.

If what she publicly states is true, a safety issue, it’s pretty damn scary that this state and the Democrats have fallen this low.

Maybe if she called the cops... Nevermind.

There is no reason to celebrate that anyone—ANYONE—fears for his/her safety in this country, regardless of who they are or why. Extremism begets extremism and tolerance for crime only begets more crime. Not one of us benefits from that.

Ms Nessel is Jewish. Not many democrats in this state are friendly towards the Jews now days.

She’s term limited, two four year terms per the state constitution. What really surprised me is that she isn’t running for another state office.

Our Lieutenant Governor early on (a do nothing person, a little Google search will show that) announced he was running for Governor. Then suddenly he dropped out and announced he was running for Secretary of State, that office here is mainly in charge of vehicle registrations and voting. You can draw your own conclusions how that will go.
