My case is bright red.
If nothing else, this has been a learning experience

chongosuerteOne other, unfortunately late, recommendation I have to anybody worried about this themselves:
Try to have at least one number set as an emergency bypass. On an iPhone, it’s easy to do under the contact information, go to ringtone and select emergency bypass on.
What that does is anytime they call (or text if you select) it will ring through even when it’s on silent or on do not disturb. Can be a problem if you’re not ready for it, but one thing that it does allow is for you to call your phone if you have lost it and it’s on vibrate.
My kids are set for that on my personal phone, and my personal phone is set for that on my work phone. Just remember to turn the volume all the way down when somewhere being quiet is important.

MercuryIt can be disconcerting when you lose something, especially when it's your phone with your contacts, passwords, etc.
Your experience got me thinking and I've enabled the Find-My-phone function on my phone......just in case it happens to me.
Good luck, I hope that you find it.

gpbst3I misplaced my phone a while back and tried to log in to find my phone on my wife's Chromebook. I did not remember my password and since it was a new device login it wanted a 2 factory authorization and wanted to send a code to my phone or my alt work email. Well I don't have the phone. I tried to log into my work email but it was a new device login it also wanted a 2 factor ID and wanted to send a code to the phone. Vicious cycle. Lucky for me I found the phone.

And I’m sure that many members are now better protected from the consequences of a lost iPhone as a result of this thread. So thanks for that Brad.
BTW – Even if the battery in your iPhone is depleted, I suspect the “find my phone” feature is still reporting its last known location.
Another tip: you can put a message on your iPhone home screen that says:
“If found please call <number of trusted person>”
I need to do that myself.

Pipe SmokerYeah, there’s a toggle switch:
“Automatically send phone location to Apple when the battery is critically low.”
I just turned it on.
