I ordered a slim 7.5 foot Christmas tree on Amazon.
They shipped it with the post office, causing it to not be delivered in the "prime" timeframe.
I use a UPS private mail box in order to not have parcels left out in the weather, prone to theft, etc, as well as other conveniences.

According to the USPS/Amazon delivery notification, the postman, with Grinchy stealth, slipped into the UPS store, past 3 employees, and stuffed my 7.5 foot Christmas tree into my 3x3" mailbox.

I contacted Amazon, who in their automated system, replied that USPS deliveries could still show up up to 48 hours after they are noted as delivered... presumably in the hopes that Max would convince the Grinch's heart to grow three sizes and return the item blowing his Who Who Trumpet.

Yesterday, after correcting the live person I finally managed to reach at Amazon that the end of Monday WAS more than 48 hours after midday Saturday, and assuring her that daily searches of the mailbox had failed to reveal even a crumb large enough for Cindy Lu Who's mouse, she transferred me to the USPS problem center.

A case has been opened, and I'm supposed to hear from a live USPS person within 72 hours.

I'm thinking that I need to dispute the charge with the original payment method.

Like you, I was hopeful to receive RAM for my iMac via Prime. Not the case.

The seller, outside of Amazon's warehouse, but using Amazon as a portal, decided to use USPS. I waited for days, but ultimately purchased more expensive RAM at BestBuy.

When the RAM finally arrived yesterday, I quickly affixed the free return postage label provided and gave it back to the postman.

Failing to meet customer expectations is a sure way out of business.

Got an email from USPS this morning that they are investigating.

3x3" mail boxes are notorious for devouring trees. They have a preference for 6' or taller artificial ones. It's one of those 1/137 things.

Dunno how well this works for anybody else. May be route-carrier-dependent? But, when I get package deliveries via USPS, Informed Delivery specifically notes to where it was delivered. E.g.: "In/at mailbox," "Front door/porch," "Left with individual."

As it did in this case, where the carrier said that he put the 7.5 foot tree "Placed in mailbox", which happens to be 3 inches by 3 inches by 11 inches.

Which would be anywhere from 1-2 weeks nowadays.

I'm debating whether the Prime Videos is worth the Prime membership fee, as there's really no other benefit to being a Prime member anymore.

^ Amazon is still a great search tool for products & alternatives to them.
Bought my wife a Christmas gift, found it on Amazon, then checked the direct site for the product. Got it direct for the same price, in a direct sale specific color & with more accessories than the Amazon option.

In a rush, Amazon is great, but when I have time, I've been able to match or beat Amazon by going direct.

It says In/at.
It's junk mail, anything through amazon is junk mail.

What you should do is chase down the mailman, and ask where your "Shit" is, then demand your "Shit" then try and get into the vehicle, reaching over the carrier, and try to take it.... even though that "Shit" your grabbing at isn't even yours.

Umm, no.

It literally and specifically says"package was left in the residence's mailbox"... though it isn't a residence, it's a place of business.

I have the screenshot that shows this but don't have a hosting service to post it.

Not sure what your problem is. That was unnecessary.

Messages I receive from UPS consist of" Left with customer/man, left with customer/lady.
I asked a friend who works with UPS about the messages that read like Pidgon English. He said there is a button you push on the truck and it leaves the message. Glad to know that UPS has better fluency than we thought.

I'm telling you was the scanner menu says:
1.Delivered-
1. In/at Mailbox
2. Front porch
3. Left with individual at address
etc.
2. Attempted
1. No authorized recipient
2. No secure location
Business closed
No access
Animal interference
etc.

Everything that USPS delivers for amazon, amazon sends bulk mail. It's no different than the casino or grocery store ads that people don't want, that's rate they pay.

We got lucky I guess . My wife did nearly all her shopping online . Her niece sent all of her packages to our house so her kids wouldn't see them . We had two or three packages a day for several weeks . Everything was on time and undamaged .
