You can teach a news anchor proper pronounciation of names and places. Is it laziness that prohibits that on a news story? The staccato like delivery is also obnoxious.

EVERYTHING about AI voice-overs is annoying. I have to be REALLY interested in a video to put up with that shit.

I love the abbreviations for the World Wars (WWI/WW1, WWII/WW2) pronounced by sounding out each letter. ("Dubya Dubya Eye Eye") And we want this shit to drive our cars for us.

Oh man, not only they’re extremely annoying, but what’s so fucking “intelligence” about them? Movie recaps are the worst. Was watching The Witch recap, a S. Korean movie. They were talking about this Dr. Baek. The AI narrator says “Dee” “are” Baek. I’m surprised it didn’t say “Dee” “are” “point” Baek.

They all should be referred to as the other AI - Artificial Idiocy.

There are a couple of AI narrators that are quite good, but, yes, the majority I hear mispronouce all kinds of words.

Usually they take the period as meaning the end of a sentence. So, "... and then Dr. Baek said FUCK YOU" becomes "... and then Doctor. Baek said FUCK YOU", which makes absolutely no sense at all. Almost anything that includes period-inclusive acronyms gets royally screwed up. Annoying as all get out.

It's not just the mispronunciations and literal readings...it's the emotionless, synthetic nature of them that bothers me. They just sound "flat", and I find that very annoying.
