I honestly don't remember being served spam in my six years of being in the navy.

I remember shit on a shingle but not spam.

Every month, it was steak and lobsters night and the tables had real table cloths and each table was even candle lit.

The only problem was this was still when no women were on board ships.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

That Spam Gift Shop is great. They got Spam everything. I got Cheez it sun glasses and there's only about 2 pairs on the planet. Those Spam hot dogs have got to be good.

Never got Spam in the Army either, not even when I was stationed in the epicenter of the Spam revolution, Hawaii.

Our Costco sell an 8 pack of the 25% lower sodium for $19.95. They haven't had it on sale in over a year, when they do it was $13.99 IIRC. My wife won't eat it, more for me.

I picked up three cans at Walmart last week, regular, Bacon, and Hickory Smoked.

My wife is leaving town tomorrow for a long weekend so I am going to start with the Hickory Smoked in my Kamado Joe with a few chunks of hickory in the coals.

I understand what OP was trying to express. I love coffee ice cream, Blue Bell to be specific.

Finding it...Is enough of a chore that it's almost not worth looking. I know I can order it online, but that's a hassle in itself and in my opinion not worth the price.

It seems that every time I find a new supplier (dealer) they stop carrying it in the couple of weeks it takes to eat the gallon I buy. As a result, I always look and buy when I find.

It should not be this hard to find a supplier of one of Blue Bell's top 10 most popular flavors...

There are a few Publix locations in Tennessee, not sure how close to you. If you can get to one, I suggest that you try the Publix Premium Barney's Coffee flavor. Excellent stuff, the price for it in our area is $5.83 / half-gallon tub, and it goes on sale maybe one week a month. When on sale it's $4.00 for the half-gallon.

Seems like every time I find something I really like, they quit making it.

The latest, which I found out yesterday, is Bear Creek Country Kitchens Grown-Up Mac & Cheese. An email to Bear Creek confirmed that they no longer make it, but they said they liked it too and would forward my complaint to the powers that be and marketing as well.
