| I got one from Beijing (+86) last week. No voicemail either. It was odd seeing that come up on my phone. |

| A lot of the scam calls originate from overseas, but most have the spoofer to assign a random phone number (often your area code + your first 3 numbers). Sounds like the OP has encountered one of the call centers that are too dumb/lazy to use a spoofer. A slimmer possibility is your phone company is using something to defeat the spoofer.

| I get multiple calls a day from tiny (think a crossroads with a flashing light) town in the Yoop. All scam calls from spoofed numbers.

| Yeah, I got one from Beijing the other day too. I just blocked it. I just hung up on the call, too. I screen all my calls anymore. If I don’t know the number, or no message, not answering. |
