FedEx Delivery Times

Fire AwayFedEx Delivery Times
Every single time something is shipped to me via FedEx, it never arrives when they say it will. It's always a day or two late. It also never meets the delivery window on the day it's to be delivered either. I don't have this issue with either UPS or USPS. They need to look up the phrase "under promise and over deliver". I guess they use the "over promise and under deliver" business model.

229DAKSame here. On my last FEDEX delivery, their tracker showed my package out for delivery and on the truck all day but never delivered. Came the next day.

oldfireguyYou're lucky if USPS is more dependable than FedEx because here it's the other way around. I have a small box out USPS that was mailed 8 days ago from 45 miles away and it still hasn't been delivered.
Here I find they all suck, there isn't squat you can do about it, and they don't give a shit. Amazon is about the best around here and even they suck at times.
I think if they were required to refund late deliveries things might change.

FredwardFedEx Ground is the worst delivery service. I was following one of their trucks one day, getting close to my job site. A truck was pulled over and the driver was tossing packages on the roadway. I was concerned because many of the guns at the store where I worked were delivered by FedEx. I notified Management and we notified FedEx. We were later told he was sent to anger management.

Pipe SmokerMy FedEx deliveries usually come on schedule. Including my order of Utz brand Sour Dough Dipping Daisies Pretzels that arrived from Pennsylvania about a week ago. Damned good pretzels, they are! I think I’ll have a few right now.
The FedEx app on my iPhone is very good.

.38supersigYours is doing fine.
Around these parts, FedUp will deliver my package on the estimated day, but 4 out of 5 times, it wasn't my house.

PatriotYup, FedEx is the worst…
Late, damaged, wrong house…all of it. Not sure how they are staying in business.

Expert308None of them have exactly sterling records as far as I'm concerned, but FedEx is the worst of the bunch, by far. I've had things delivered where the box was so damaged that it wasn't even really a box anymore, just a mess of cardboard. The tape was the only thing holding it together. Fortunately the inner packaging (by the seller) was better done.
The transition from FedEx to FedEx Ground is where (I think) a lot of it goes to hell. I've had things delivered from the east coast. It takes a day or two for FedEx (air) to get it across the country, then it takes FedEx Ground two weeks to move it the last 25 miles.

lymanI ship 50-100 packages a week, most USPS some UPS,
FedEx pissed me off a few times years ago, so while I have an account, I rarely use it,
however, they have eliminated the 2 tier system, so now Express and Ground are the same contractor,
none of the carriers are reliable, re delivery times,
UPS probably comes closest,
USPS gets it right maybe 50% of the time,
best thing to to is to just relax, pop the F5 button on the tracking number every day or 2, and it will get there when it gets there,
USPS has a way to file missing mail, which means they will look, but it has to be missing 30 days or so before anyone will think about a claim,
ups is similar, but a shorter lead time on missing stuff,
all have a PITA insurance claim process,
if you live by the mantra that today is 2 days from now, then you get less heartburn over delivery dates,
as in if the website says it will be there today, the 27th, plan on it being there the 29th and be happy if it arrives on the 28th,

ridewvFor me UPS is the most reliable with it being a toss up between FedEx and USPS for the worst.
FedEx drivers beat USPS for not being able to keep their truck on the driveway though.

Calif PhilMy biggest distributor switched from UPS to FedEx as a cost cutting measure, Fed Ex is horrible, shipping times are twice as long, different contractor drivers all the time. I despise FedEx.

jed7s9bSame. Always at least a day late but rarely damaged and never lost. Still, I don’t use them by my choice. I’m concerned that USPS is being backlogged and sending trailer loads to the landfill so I’m using UPS lately.

Not even close. I recently had something shipped to me by a friend at Sig. The shipper was OnTrac. Never heard of them but the tracking seemed ok...at first. then they said they couldn't deliver because the address wasn't sufficient. I sent that the address, which was on the shipping order. Again, can't deliver.
Then they say the package was returned as the driver couldn't deliver and it was being discarded as per the shippers' request...which as total BS.
I look into them and their reviewers barely make a one star. They fail to deliver is common and from what I gather the drivers just keep the packages. No way to contact or recover the cost unless the shipper does so.
Should have known when they say they are the preferred shipped to TEMU.
