I took a first generation Sidekick with me on the trip to Las Vegas. Tossing it into the "go bag" (which most normal people call a carry on), I knew it would be there in the hotel room for my nighttime forays into enemy territory (what most people call the bathroom). Just when I needed it most, it would not switch on. Recharging it did nothing. A few useless minutes of searching for fixes, I found only similar complaints.

So, I did what any self-respecting person would do. I slammed it hard into my palm. Voila! Merde! It works!

Is it reliable? Not sure. But I wanted you all to know how to "fix" one.
