Normally when I think about posting something in this section I count to 100, take a walk, or play with my dog. The feeling usually goes away. This time it hasn't. The night before last, I'm scrolling through channels and see that PBS Frontline has an episode of Frontline called "Trump's American Carnage"; something to the effect of how Trump used his presidency to spread division, hatred and insurrection. These communist bastards aren't even trying to be subtle anymore, and the thought that one cent of my tax dollars goes to fund them enrages me. I thought of watching just to see which trust/fund/ foundation provided financing, but I don't think my blood pressure could have taken it, and my dog doesn't like it when I yell at the TV. I won't hold my breath waiting for the Frontline episode of "The Racist History of the Democratic Party".

One of these days, we're going to have to have it out. Progressives vs. Conservatives and we can settle all these problems.

And, to make matters worse, your tax dollars probably paid for it if it was on PBS _____________________________ "A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government." Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged! |
Funny how the party that screamed "RESIST" from the moment he was elected is the one blaming him for the devision and hatred. I was not a Trump fan when he was elected. I wasn't going to vote for Hilary in any case so Trump was the default. I found him to be amusing and took a wait and see approach. The behavior of the left and their TDS, the constant attacks, the nothing burger Mueller report, and the increasing evidence of coordinated efforts against him culminating in the first impeachment are what won me over. It is simply unacceptable for this kind of thing to happen in the USA. That and his actual ability to do what he said he was going to do during his campaign - border security, the wall, lower taxes, less regulations, etc.

I don't even bother previewing anything the mainstream media publishes about Trump. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." When I came home from Vietnam the second time I was still too young to vote (had to be 21 back in those days). My first ballot was cast in the 1972 election and I have voted in every general election since. There has never been a single candidate or party platform that I completely supported. It has always been a matter of voting for the lesser of two potential evils. Mr. Trump was not my candidate of choice, but the alternative was Hillary Clinton. Mr. Trump was elected precisely because he was not a career politician. The left went totally nuts, they could not stand the idea of anyone who wasn't a member of the privileged club of self-anointed rulers, they set out on a course to destroy him by any means possible, and that effort continues to this day. Accuse, insinuate, insult, demand, incite. All right out of Saul Alinsky's guidebook, right in line with Nazi propagandists' principles of repeating a lie loud enough and often enough to make people start believing it to be the truth. Anyone who contests the BS can be dismissed as too stupid to understand the basic facts of the universe, and condemned as divisive and racist and homophobic and every other invective they can dream up. No need to debate the facts, just join the consensus of popular opinion as interpreted by a compliant mainstream media. Retired holster maker. Retired police chief.
