Political Correctness is killing comedy. I take it from this thread that Samantha Bee is yet another leftist mouthpiece, but maybe we should try looking at this from a different angle.
Cancer is one of the top four or five things you can throw back at people to shame them, and no one in their right mind would attempt to defend their position in the face of "HE'S GOT STAGE 4 BRAIN CANCER!!"

Look at how Ms. Bee responded- bending over backwards to show that she did somthing HORRIBLE!!

For God's sake, we're heading toward a condition in this society where the Outrage Machine can provide instantaneous condemnation of the offender, and declare them a non-person.

BTW, I love how the shaming involves the specific stage of cancer, as if the previous stages of the disease would give a pass to the comedian.
This is not merely someone defending a family member with what should in and of itself be sufficient- the Truth: "My brother is very ill. He has brain cancer."

But, this is insufficient. We have to use scary language that few non-physicians can understand the implications of.
