My NPD ex decided to show up to my house today, again. This was after her getting a criminal trespass warning when she stalked the house (front and back) on Thanksgiving. I called the officer today on the police report to inform and left voicemail. I think the statute of limitations has passed on turning the warning she received into formal criminal trespass charges. She’s a teacher and charges could cost her, her job, and pension. The officer wanted me to press charges last month but I didn’t want this stupid decision of hers to cost her, her retirement money. But my patience is at its end. Harassment and Entrapment has been practiced on me by her and I’m tired of it. Narcissists only learn by consequence. They think they are superior to everyone else so they only learn the hard way. I’m tired of the flying monkeys and the bullshit. It’s time for a restraining order.

Narcissists don't learn ... and consequences are something they will never expect or deal with. It is ALWAYS someone else's fault. They will lash out irrationally. You should get a restraining order, but be ready for her scorched earth response. There is zero chance of her realizing she caused this. Be careful

Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day

While they all have the same traits, there are different levels of Narcissists. You can't argue with them, they actually enjoy the opportunity to put you down, put them selves up and in their eyes...win. If it's not about them then it's not important. My wife is one, at times it's so blatantly obvious even my children see it.. but when she goes too far she can back it down and try to play nice...been doing it for many years... Her favorite is illnesses, not just little ones I'm talking ailments seldom seen in the medical profession so they can't really be cured...poor-poor-pitiful me stuff. The latest is a stroke, I have excellent insurance so she went to 4 different doctors, four different MRis, she even told one brain surgeon he was wrong because she read differently on google...Finally found a quack who agreed with her only so he could provide billable treatment. She is 65 and has zero friends and resents mine. I could go on and on, she has no pension so divorce would kill me financially... we live totally apart in the same house...best I can do.

Good luck to the OP, it's really an impossible situation as long as you are in it..

Next time she shows up, call the direct dispatch line for the police, or 911. Don't bother leaving a VM for the reporting officer. You need them to show up while she's there.

A few decades ago started a long running crazy story about a in-law relative of ours. Not a pleasant one and too long to go into all the details here.

That led me an awareness of this test that is used to evaluate similar people.
Understand that many of these people don't end up in the criminal justice system, although some certainly do. Give it a look, you may see other symptoms that you had overlooked that were in the background.
There are lots of people with a few of these personality traits, but if you ever run into one with most of them, you'll never forget it and may have to deal with them for a long time.
