My Sams card was finally sent to me. In contrast to other credit cards it took two months.
The latest scam is a text on my phone inviting me to dinner. You have to be really stupid or lonely to fall for that.

How is the Sam’s card related to the phishing attempt text?

That was fraud someone charged on the card. I should mention the sketchy process to get a replacement. They wanted me to click on a link and record a four minute video. After numerous phone calls they agreed to mail me a letter with a nine digit code. At that point I had to call back and verify my identity. Every time I called I was given a different process to follow.

Here lately I get multiple calls from small towns all over the country, claiming to be some financial outfit who wants to loan me 50+K. I just need to call them back and "complete my application"!
Right! Roll Eyes
The message and voices on the calls make me think its AI generated.

I finally trained my "new" (4 years ago) number to stop eating SPAM, so life was good for almost two and half years. Maybe a dozen robocall/texts in all that time.

Then 2 months ago, "someone" out of spite, cancelled my phone line, so I had to get a new number.

This guy must have paid for all the Only Fans girls college tuition and all but single handedly* financed Porn Hub's total operations.

Not to mention all the financery he has done with "Capital" accounts just ready to increase his every need for several hundreds of thousands. (and the people this guy actually knew/knows)

Gonna be a long several months to get this new number dialed back on garbage diet.

I will not be assimilated.

*see wut I did?

I get texts, I get calls. It depends on my mood whether to answer it. I used to play with them but now it's boring and I have better things to do with my time.

I get added to group discussions on Viber to stock discussion groups. I sometimes put in fake stock analysis reports I make AI generate. But I always change the group name by adding the word Scam. They all boot me off when I do that.

I suppose it's like walking in San Francisco. You have to watch where you step.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I keep getting texts claiming “this is private medical information for (some name) and should be deleted if you’re not (some name).” Different names and origination numbers are used for different texts. Haven’t figured out what the point of the message is since it’s not necessary to tell me to delete spam?

wife was given 2 visa gift cards,

she went online, she uses BING and the first site that popped up, recommended by Bing, was a scammer site,
she did not realize it until it was too late and they sucked those cards dry,

we did report the scammer site to bing, not that it would do much about it
