I’m generally supportive of athletic events. Marathons, triathlons, walk-a-thons, bike races, etc. Many times they need road closures. Generally no big deal. But how hard is it to have some indication on your event website or, better yet, reflected in the navigation software on phones? Especially when the roads are not grids. But even when you're driving on a grid so that you know how far down to go before you can cross. I have seen this done so it’s possible. Not sure sure why all events can’t do it.
