We got this card because it gets decent reviews for business cards about 6 months ago.
We make multiple payments a month just to make sure we don’t get charged interest so we just pay it in full 2-3 times a month

We get a letter in the mail a couple weeks back that says we need to send them proof that we are a business. No problem we send them our information off the Arizona corporate commission website proving we are a business

A couple weeks go by, we’ve been using the card no problems. Then today I go to use my card and it gets declined. Wtf, I know we have plenty of money available so I try again. Nope, declined. So I get on chase app and it says account closed, wtf…

Call customer service. Get transferred to 4 different people each of them ask for my card number and my name, each of them in some form of broken English except the second person spoke perfect English. The first person says I need to transfer you to a business person (wtf this is the phone number on the back of your business card, but whatever). 2nd person tells me she’s a business person but I need a business credit card person.. 3rd person tells me I need to talk to business credit card resolution people.. finally the fourth person tells me the corporate commission is not proof we are a business so they closed the account.

Ummm what? You don’t say what you want so I figure our corporate paperwork is good. Then instead of calling/emailing/anything you decided to just shut the card off?

His response was we sent you something in the mail. Wtf people let’s pretend the post office isn’t very reliable and maybe use some form of technology in 2023 since you guys send me 5000 emails a day saying I’m pre approved for a credit card you could send an email that’s actually useful. If it’s something important like a business credit card how about a certified letter so there’s a good chance I’ll get it? Ok so what do you want because our government docs that say we’re a business are no good… He says like a tax document. Ummm ok I can send that even though you should have just said that in the first place. How long until you reactivate the account? It’ll be 1-2 weeks. Omg…. I don’t need the money, I don’t need the credit, but I have a bunch of our stuff linked to that card for our website stuff, alarm stuff, just other random things I don’t want to deal with switching them to another form of payment, but I also want them to work and not get declined when they go to take their monthly money.

It wasn't because of what kind of business you have? Assuming the card is for OneStopFireArms.

Yeah it’s for a gun business. That didn’t seem to be their issue which is surprising because it’s the bank’s issue for a lot of other things like credit card processing and just having a bank account.

We have to go through special companies for credit card processing because the standard big bank ones won’t do it. Also have to bank with a local credit union because big banks won’t let us open a business account because the money that people use to buy guns is different than other money apparently (which I’m ok with because I prefer the local credit unions anyway)

I think if you chose to close my account because we aren’t a business in their eyes then we shouldn’t be required to pay the balance owed on it. Obviously I’m going to pay it, but I shouldn’t just because they are idiots.

My wife calls Chase Bank the "Satan bank" My mom died and she had banked at Chase. When they found out she died, the froze her SS payment and Literally froze and REMOVED from her account her 401k $$. As the administrator of her estate, I spent well over a YEAR trying to get things corrected. Every phone call or letter to them required something additional that the prior person never told me about.

I could go on and on about the things they required (given to them numerous times but they don't seem to retain things) and the run around.

All during this time, Chase was accruing TO THEM the interest on moms money. This is a banking way to increase their portfolio by freezing and using your money.

Run away from Chase Bank. Run fast and far.

I guess I wouldn’t be surprised this was the actual reason. There has been talk about this. I forget who but some people started a bank in response to this that are supposedly “patriotic” about not shutting any business accounts.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
