sjtillEnough with the AI pictures
The title is intended to be a joke, playing on our long-run "Enough with the cat pictures" thread.
Here's my beef: I have quickly grown to hate the stereotypical generative AI images that are ubiquitous on the internet (for Harris voters and residents of Rio Linda, that means "exist everywhere").
Before this, I had gotten tired of HDR images, with their unnatural-appearing "high dynamic range". Something like this appears in the AI images I'm complaining about. They appear cartoonish rather than realistic. And they are all of a kind.
Can I ask an AI program to generate a pastel watercolor image instead? I don't know, haven't tried.
I was just wondering if other SF folks are getting tired of AI (in this form) already.

I deleted facebook (bragbook) several years ago.

vthokyIt seemed somehow improper to post this in the United Healthcare thread, but given that the image is almost certainly AI-generated, it seems proper to drop this here:

OneWheelDriveI've heard a few YouTubers say it's made their lives easier when it comes to creating thumbnails for their posts, so there's that.
