DennisMWe moved from New Jersey to comparatively-free Pennsylvania last year.
Our new town has been pretty evenly-split politically until recently, but flipped barely to DEM governance about two elections ago thanks mostly to New Jersey transplants. We spent the first few months reassuring our more sensible neighbors that we're part of a relief column, not more invaders.

One of the members of my weekly handgun shooting group is a born and raised New Jersey guy. He moved here to Free America around 10 years ago and is as far to the right as anyone I know.
There's another guy in the group, same situation but he's from New York City. He's also super conservative, so there is hope.

Wait.. lesbians moving out because of abortion laws??? That's funny.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Is it just my imagination or does it seem like it's always the least attractive females who are screaming about abortion "Rights?" Orange hair grossly overweight, cargo shorts, and a triple chin. If they're so concerned about wimmin, what do they say about the millions of presumably female babies who are aborted?? Pro choice, exactly what choice does the baby have???

Glynn863The old phrase for folks like this, at least here in the South, was "Carpetbaggers", who espoused the Party of Lincoln the Emancipator, much to the chagrin of the local (original) Democrats.
Ironically, now we refer to these liberal democommunist transplants as "Blue Locusts", because just like locusts, they move in and devour / destroy everything, before moving on again.

AugenWhen I moved to my neighborhood 16 yrs ago the limited area was solid red. Over the past few years more and more northern libs moving in bringing their shit with them.
They have their signs out, the congregate in the street making it difficult at times to drive through. Lots of little things to change the dynamic here.
3 years and I'm moving out to the country area or significantly elsewhere.

goose5I've lived in my house for 30 years now. People come and go, and I couldn't tell you the political leanings of any of them.

We just escaped Washington state. Whenever people ask where I’m from, I phrase it that way and quickly follow it with “don’t worry, I’m not here to turn Arizona into someplace else.” Before I started doing it that way, I had one lady flat-out tell me “don’t you bring that left coast shit with you, we like it here the way it is.” I brought two conservative votes with me. After the last election, it looked like ya’ll could use some.
Not all of the west coast folks who left in the last few years did so because they didn’t like what
their voting turned it into. Some of us left because it turned into something we fought against, and it became intolerable.

83v45magnaI took a job in late 94 in Colorado Springs. The mood there was the same. The Cali invasion was already on, and they weren't too fond of Texans either. When I went to get license plates, I wanted to register to vote also (since I heard you could do that), so I already had the form filled out. The woman there did everything she could to ignore the request. When she did take the form, she noticed I had checked Republican and her whole demeanor changed for the better.
And once I put the Colorado plates on (in the parking lot while it was snowing), driving was suddenly not nearly as sporty.
