Just say you use CBD or MJ or whatever. It doesn’t make it sound better in whatever context causes you so much concern to try to pass it off like you just popped a breath mint. (I’m not opposed to the use of either in a legit medical or responsible recreational context, but lots of folks HAVE gone overboard and become full on pot heads since the legalization trend.)

Don’t really know why “gummies” annoys me so much. Maybe because I like gummy bears. Anyone else?

I predict that there will be many suggestions and statements about the law made here, and some of them will be spectacularly wrong. - jhe888

Gummies, hard candy, cookies, doesn't matter.
Since it became legal I take 10 mg before I go to bed. Best sleep I've had in three years when I retired and my sleep schedule went out of whack.
The smoke you can keep, tried it, don't care for it. My two cents.

Just the word "gummies" is annoying to me. It doesn't really matter whether it refers to pot related items or not.

If my job allowed it, I'd be "gummied" every Friday night, but I sure as hell wouldn't call it that.

A colleague does the edibles. All I will say (From what he says) is to take a fraction of one, 1/5th, etc. Don’t take a whole one as it may be too much (his words not mine).

Cannabis does have some medicinal benefits if used responsibly. Here in TX, they don’t have anything leg, not recreational, not medicinal. Where my rural land is, they have medicinal there. Hope to try it once I move for sleep purposes. I’m on a prescription to sleep and I’d rather be doing some CBD or MJ gummy to knock me out and get peaceful sleep.

Why do people always "do" an edible?

Over and over, I hear this term applied to consuming an edible.

When you eat a cheeseburger, do you "do" it?

How about "utilize" an edible?

There is a legal trap for gun owners. MJ is still illegal federally. If you have a script, and buy a gun over the counter, you have to complete a 4473. Answering "no" to the unlawful use question is a felony with a possible 10 year prison sentence if you use medicinally. I wouldn't put it past the feds to seize records and correlate this data. After all, NY is conducting raids to seize squirrels and raccoons. But maybe I'm just paranoid.

Answering "yes" to the drug question on the 4473 is not a crime. But you won't get a gun. Answering "no" if you do use illegal drugs is a crime.

Calling them gummies is mildly annoying, but not high on my list of irritations.

Same with "doing" a gummy, even though stoners have done drugs for decades. We went out to dinner with friends last night and one of them always orders by saying, "I'll do the shrimp." It sounds dumb and ungrammatical to my ears.

Usually no, but then again, I've had some where I felt like the cheeseburger did me.

This was... very short-lived, but it was an actual McDonald's ad campaign where they thought they were being hip and modern, but were unknowingly inviting their customers to, err... do their cheeseburgers.
