Pale HorseI hate how medicine bottles hide the dosage info
I just got back from buying some cough medicine. My kid is 12 so I wanted to make sure what I was looking at would work for his age and I had to peel the stupid label back on every stupid bottle I picked up.
What’s wrong with putting it where you can read it?

YooperSigsAnd the writing on the stuck on label? Microscopically tiny. What idiot came up with that?

PerceptionIt is frustrating, and there really isn't a good reason for it as far as I'm concerned. You would think they would want to make that info very visible for liability reasons if nothing else.
"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in." May 21, 2019, 08:35 AM
EponymYou can thank our government. Go to
the FDA site and download the document (30 pages). To meet the requirements using a readable font size would take a newspaper-sized sheet of paper (both sides).

eldeI added a magnifying glass APP on my iPhone just to read medicine bottle labels. It works btw.

henryaz Any more, I keep a magnifying glass wherever I sit/work in the house/garage. For the really tiny stuff, I have a 10x loupe on a handle that holds two batteries, making it a lighted loupe. And it's not just medicine any more. Chemicals like Round Up and other stuff hides application doses behind the peel back label.

right there with ya, although I use it for a lot of things. On Android, there's a great app called Your Magnifier; it also has a built in light function that works better than any flashlight app I've had.

cheesegritsYour iPhone may have a built in magnifier.
Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Magnifier.
Turn on Magnifier. This adds Magnifier as an accessibility shortcut, which is triple-clicking the Home button. If your phone doesn't have a home button, I'm not sure how it works.
I used this feature just last night to read the dosage on a bottle of Excedrin.
