MikeinNCWriter James Wesley Rawles
I have read several of his books about the US after an incident of collapse or national disaster. While reading it I thought he has listed a lot of pertinent information of the how and why the characters chose the stuff they did.
He runs a blog called
Survivalblog.com lots of good info.

kkinaYep, he wrote some good ones. He makes it a point to weave in tons of practical information into the stories. I actually met him at the big Las Vegas gunshow.

creslinI read Patriots.
It’s WAY too dated for any use today.
That book was written over 30 years ago and referenced stuff that was hard to find back then - never mind today.
It’s also WAY too religious and preachy.
Some people may like that, but if you’re not the religious type then IMO… just stay away.
Also, what the hell was up with the section on the two sovereign citizens brothers? Literally zero addition to the main story at all. Just all the sudden let’s talk about these 2 guys for a few pages and then never once reference them again?

OttoSigI read a few of his books, it’s just prepper wet dream stuff.
I’d much prefer realistic or at least semi realistic scenarios.
